That's why I embrace the G.R.O.W. coaching model to tailor personalised training plans that empower you to achieve your running goals. I use this model in my full-time profession, where I am involved in innovation amongst diverse teams, where empowerment is key to them identifying and realising the opportunities they can follow and achieve for themselves.

Here's how it works...

G - Goal Setting: Defining Your Finish Line

The first step in our coaching journey is setting clear, realistic, and inspiring goals. I collaborate with you to identify your aspirations, whether it's completing your first 10K, conquering a marathon, or enhancing your overall fitness. By clearly defining your finish line, we pave the way for a focused and purposeful training experience.

R - Reality: Assessing Your Starting Point

Understanding your current capabilities is crucial for crafting a plan that aligns with your unique fitness level, as well as your lifestyle and what you can and can't do in terms of training and recovery each week. Through a comprehensive initial assessment I evaluate your strengths, weaknesses, and any potential constraints. This reality check allows me to develop a training program that not only challenges you but also ensures a safe and gradual progression toward your goals.

 

O - Opportunities: Crafting Tailored Plans

One size does not fit all in running. My coaching model thrives on recognising the diversity of runners. Drawing from a wealth of experience and reading, I create a bespoke plan tailored to your preferences, lifestyle, and individual needs. My promise is to find the perfect blend to keep you engaged and motivated.

W - Way Forward: Improvement and Support

The journey doesn't end with the first step; it's an ongoing process of growth and improvement. I provide close support, tracking your progress, adjusting your plan as needed bi-weekly, and offering guidance every step of the way. Your success is rewarding for me and I'm committed to ensuring you not only reach but exceed your running goals.

HI. I'M Andrew, aN experienced DISTANCE runner, and more recently a coach, with a passion for helping athletes of all levels achieve their full potential. With over 10 years of experience,  after taking up running in MY mid-thirties, I HAVE helped dozens of runners to reach their goals and improve their performance, AND BENEFITTED HUGELY MYSELF FROM THE ACCOUNTABILITY AND DISCIPLINE OF STICKING TO DEDICATED PROGRAMS.

RUNNING HISTORY

I'VE RAN NUMEROUS RACES OF VARYING DISTANCES AND ACHIEVED A NUMBER OF PERSONAL BESTS I'M PROUD OF, MOST NOTABLY  5 x SUB 3 HOUR AND A PERSONAL BEST OF 2:44:02 FOR THE MARATHON.

 

THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF SOLID ADVICE AND TRIED AND TESTED TRAINING PRINCIPLES I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PROGRESS OVER THE YEARS AND I TOOK UP COACHING IN 2019 TO PASS ON KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE.
